Position Description
Due to a recent acquisition and an aggressive growth plan, our Home Office is expanding! We are currently seeking a results-oriented Technical Systems Engineer who will report directly to the Network Systems Manager to join our IS Department who enjoys working in a team environment. Job Summary and Mission: This job contributes to Accurum’s success by providing Level 1 and 2 desktop support; providing support in maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting the enterprise network and operating systems; and supports the administration and monitoring of network security. The incumbent is responsible for role modeling in accordance with Accurum’s values. Responsibilities:
• Support resolution of Level 1 and 2 network and infrastructure problems from the IS Service desk as needed.
• Daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the enterprise network and network-related systems.
• Provide hands-on configuration, installation, and maintenance of the enterprise infrastructure, network security, and servers.
• Maintain and monitor WAN and LAN connectivity, patches, and upgrades.
• Provide technical expertise as related to the enterprise infrastructure, network security, and servers.
• Provide technical oversight to company’s vendors and consultants as needed.
• Contribute to the disaster recovery framework.
• Assist in the development of Information Systems policies and procedures.
RequirementsEducational Qualifications: This position typically requires a minimum of three years of relevant IT experience in enterprise networking. Microsoft MCSE certification desirable. Requirements:
• Strong customer support skills.
• Must have strong organization skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritizes, execute, and monitor multiple projects and issues. • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, network security, switch configurations, router configurations, VPN, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems.
• Knowledge of Citrix Terminal Services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications.
