Cold Fusion Developer
Job Description
Summary:
The Sr. Applications Developer will be a member of a software development team that develops custom web-based applications for both commercial and Government clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates expertise in systems/software engineering to include a combination of concept/system/ subsystem development and system integration, which requires the application of engineering management, software engineering and application of software principles and practices.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, business, or related technical or scientific discipline is required, or five (5) years of directly related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree with an Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electronics, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required.
2. Four (4) years experience as a computer/software developer using higher order languages, e.g. SQL, or third/fourth languages, in the design and implementation of web-based computer information systems and software applications.
Computing Skills:
1. Required:
a. Coldfusion MX
b. JavaScript
c. MS SQL Server
d. MS Access
e. Spreadsheets (MS Excel)
f. Word processing (MS Word)
2. Considered a plus:
a. Java
b. Visual Basic
c. MS Project
Analytical Skills:
1. Synthesize complex or diverse information
2. Collect and research data
3. Utilize Experience to complement data
4. Read, analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
5. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Security:
1. Requires a SECRET clearance in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
